NOTD - O.P.I Blue my mind + Glitter Michigan

I've been completely obsessed with blues and glitters lately so today I went Aaall in hehe =) One of my Favorite royal blues is O.P.Is Blue my mind, it's sooo pretty. The only negative thing about it is that it's a bit sheer so you need 3 layers =/ It's a really old colour so the formula wasn't as great as O.P.I polishes today I guess (I have a few others from that time that I have the same problem with)..

Anyways, I used Emite Glitter in Michigan (my makeup school's glitter) on my ringfingers to ad some sparkle =)

I just love the look of deep royal blue on my (and anyones) nails, soooo pretty!

NOTD - Reflects Pearl Glitter

I've gotten more and more into glitter nails recently, it's so easy and fun and I actually get to use my many loose glitters =) One glitter I'm particularly in love with atm is MACs Reflects Pearl. It's a gorgeous white/pearl glitter, very finely milled and looks awesome on the nails. Because it is so finely milled it's a lot easier to work with than other glitters I think (at least on the nails).

When you use it on the nails it really creates a clean sofisticated look but still fun as it softly sparkles. I love this look and if you have Reflects Pearl inyour collection  really suggest you try it out on your nails =)

Holiday gift ideas - Sigma Brush Kits..

Now, this is some I own and use myself. I love this set pf trael brushes. It has everything you need 4 face brushes (+ you get a free travel dual fiber brush with this set) a powder brush, an angeled blush brush, a flat foundation brush and a concealer brush. Also you get 3 eye brushes, a flat eyeshadow brush, a blending brush, and a pencil brush. AND when you buy for a sertain amount from Sigma they tend to send you a free travel E25 (the one shaped like the MAC #217) so you really get 4 eye brushes aswell.

The brushes are so soft and are of great quality, And really you don't need any other brushes. At the price of $39 you really can't go wrong with this set.. For the ones more into the colour pink, this set also comes in pink =)

Now if you have a little more money to spend I really recommend checking out Sigmas other sets of brushes. I myself am a little tempted by the new The Cities Travel Kits. Especially the Paris one, oh so pretty!!

My lovely bf came home with a gift..

Sometimes my boyfriend John comes home with a gift for me. He can't help it he's just built that way. Sometimes it's flowers and sometimes it's makeup and this time it was bodycare..

He had a dj job at a cruise this past weekend and those cruises have duty free shops. Naturally John couldn't help but buying a few things =)

As you can se John got me some The Body Shop products. I LOVE TBS...

I got two of the new "Earth lovers" shower gels - Apricot / Basil and Cucumber / Mint. And I got a lovely set of mini boby butters. I love having the mini versions of the body butters, they are so handy to keep in your purse to use on your hands or where ever you're dry, and the scent always linger a while so you smell good when you've used them =)

This set included my all time favorites Moringa, Coconut and Mango. I'm not to crazy about the Shea one, but my mom loves that one so I might give that one to her =)

Holiday gift ideas - Stila Dream in full colour Palette

I have never tried Stila eyeshadows myself before but when I saw this palette on BeautyBay.com I thought to myself this would make a great gift to someone, I would want it myself.

The palette includes 29 eyeshadows, 7 cheek colours one of which is more of a bronzer, and you also get one of their best-selling Smudge Stick Waterproof eyeliners in Stingray (black), and a 16-page look book.  How great is that?? It suits a beginner aswell as a pro!

As you can see in the picture the eyeshadows are a great variation of neutrals and brighter colours, and the blusher are a variation of pinks and peaches.

Overall I LOVE the look of this palette and the fact that you get so much for just the price of £25!! I also love the pretty design, it's just something different and fun =)

New Scent - Diesel Loverdose

So I got this perfume as a gift when I drove my mom and her friend to a party, (she works in the beauty industry so we always get something like makeup or perfume when we meet her).

I've always thought that Diesel fragrances for women are a bit "hit or miss" and mostly misses. But this one was actually a hit for me. I'm usually a fresh/floral/fruity kinda' girl and Loverdose is nothing like that. It's warm, sweet and sensual, but still in a "not too much" way. I think it suitable for nights out, holiday parties and such.

The notes include:  mandarin, star anise, gardenia, jasmine, licorice, vanilla, amber and wood.

I think maybe it's the licorice and vanilla that makes me like this fragrance =) AND the adorable bottle!!

Loose glitter on nails...

I have quite a few cosmetics glitters at home just beacause I'm always drawn to them, they're so pretty, but when I buy them and get them home I use them maybe once or twice. So I thought I needed another way to use my glitters. ON MY NAILS!

Said and done =)

(Because I'm awful at being careful with my nails they have worn down a bit, I took a shower almost right after I was done with them = bad idea)

FACE Stockholm glitter in Galaxy

I went for a simple way to use the glitter, on my tips. So the first thing I did was paint my nails with a sheer nude colour just to get a prettier base than my normal pinky shiny brittle nails ^^
When that had dried completely I took a top coat and painted my tips. Starting with the thumb, than I dipped my thumb upsidedown in the glitter - then, gently padded down the glitter so it really stuck on the top coat, then on to the next finger. After the top coat and the glitter had dried I gently brushed away access glitter and then painted 2 coats of top coat over all my nails =)

I love the look of glitter tips. makes me feel like I've had them done by a proffesional but I haven't.
So If you're like me have loose glitters at home you just don't use that often, try using them on your nails =)

(make sure you let every layer of polish and topcoat dry, maybe let them dry even for an hour just to be safe)

Review- La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo moisturizer

First - My favourite face moisturizer ever is the Origins Balanced Diet. Since I have combination skin (more oily than dry parts) I need a moisturizer that can manage both very oily skin and dry patches. This one does soooo perfectly BUT it's kinda' expensive so when I started saving more money every month I had to check out some new moisturizers.

The choice fell on the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, it says on the tube (first of all I LOVE moisturizer in a tube, so much more hygenic) "Corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection care".

It claims : "Reduces the appearance of imperfections. Unclogs sebum-blocked pores."
I also claims to be well suited under your makeup.

What I think :
I haven't noticed any difference with my pores BUT my skin has cleared up (from using nivea products when being broke last month) in just a week and a half (I had massive breakouts) and my skin feels hydrated but not oily. It sinks in to the skin beautifully. I haven't had any dry patches at all either so that seems to be working out aswell =)

At the pricepoint of 179 SEK vs. 350 SEK for the Origins one it most definately will replace my beloved Balanced Diet. At least for a while ^^

My Halloween costume! - Mystique from X-men First Class

Hi guys!
I know I haven't beenn blogging as I've been meaning to but I've been really busy.. This Webdesigning business is taking up so much time, it's fun though =)

Anyways last weekend I was at a Halloween party and at this party we all go ALL IN.. It's so much fun.. I decided to go as Mystique from the latest X-men movie First Class..

I used a very very blue eyeshadow from Kryolan and buffed that into my skin as an all over colour. For the "stuff" Mystique has all over her body I uses liquid latex and cut out the pattern I wanted and then used spirit gum to attach them. Than I painted them with a cream bluu colour also from Kryolan =)

Me and the Hostess =)
My lips were also blue in the beginning but they faded the more I ate and drank ^^ ;)

Every year we wote fro the best women and best man costume and I won =) with Robin as Donny Darko =)

I did make the vest myself out of a really cheap yellow t-shirt..
The neck faded the more the jacke rubbed on it sadly =/
